4 in 1 Entrance guide and Roll Profiles

4 in 1 roll sets are typically installed on the outboard of an S and Drive machine or heavier gauge Pittsburgh. they consist of three roll profiles: Right Angle Flange (2), T connection (tap in) and Standing Seam The 4 instead of 3 indicates that the machine does both the small and large Right angle Flange for the Male Pittsburgh.

The 3 in 1 rollset includes a 1/2″ Right Angle Flange which is too large to be used as the Male Right Angle with even the “Large” female Pittsburgh. Since the reason shops invest in the 3-in-1 rollset has always been because of the Outside Tap profile.

Even though a contractor might call them or “3 in 1 rolls” because the defining characteristic of the rollset is the tiered Entrance Guide, Flagler refers to this rollset as “Tap In Rolls”. The Tap In rolls are actually a roll profile of their own—seen on this gauge as the 2nd from top tier. Tap in Rolls allow contractor to take a width of metal (say 4” wide by 12” long) and run it thru forming a profile which they then put on one edge of square duct (12” in this case) x 3 other sides. It serves as an end cap on the raw edge of duct.

If contractor is using mainly for the Male Pittsburgh we recommend buying outboard Right Angle Flange rolls for a High Speed Pitts since hitting the correct step guide.

The 4 in 1 rolls cannot be run on a standard 5 station rollformer; they require 7 stations and bigger diameter rolls.

4-in-1 Rolls (22-28 Gauge)  runs four profiles:  5/8” Tap-In, 5/8” Standing Seam,
9/16” right angle flange ( large male pitts), 1/4” Right Angle flange (small male Pitts).
