Volume Damper
…how to identify a shop installing these in house
How do you know if a shop is making and installing Dampers in the Square to Round Transitions they make…?
…look for the Round Holes on the Sleeve.
This means that they are installing a Volume Damper in the shop before it goes out to the field
- This round volume damper is often a Round Damper Blade with the 3/8” Square Rod already attached, often using our Duro Dyne HDJD in 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” round. (DDHDJD06, 08, etc).
- The contractor slides the long portion thru the Square opening and thru one of the round holes on the sleeve.
- The remainder slides in and is secured on the short end side with a Bushing like our yellow colored BKPR83 3/8” Square ID Round OD Rubber Bushing.
