Ductmate Flange is a Slide-On Transverse Connection for Square Duct that meets the very highest duct pressure specifications. Sold in 20 ft lengths, the product consists of two pieces of rollformed 20 ga Galvanized forming the shape of a 90 degree angle. The vertical portion of this angle is a sleeve with mastic in the corner. The horizontal portion provides the unparalleled rigidity but is also the face that will mate to the other Ductmate ductwork.
The Flange is cut to the required lengths of the duct to which it is securing and along with 4 Corner pieces, built into a frame.
The frame is then hammered over the duct wall such that the duct wall’s edge penetrates the Mastic Sealant.
Unlike other transverse connections which are formed on the edge of the duct wall, like Slip and Drive or TD “rolled-on” flange, Ductmate Flange is an entirely separate component from the duct wall which means it’s used on jobs that will require modifications during or after the ductwork is hung.
