With a renewed emphasis on fire safety in multifamily apartments and condos, many municipalities are increasingly enforcing International Residential Code section M1502.3 requirements that the Rigid Vent Pipe extending from the Dryer be wrapped with a Fire Barrier Insulation starting one foot from the header at the top of the 6″ Wall Cavity and then horizontally throughout the roof trusses until the point that the pipe leaves the building. 1/2″ thick x 16″ wide x 25 ft roll.
