Empire Model EMT-7R Power Rotary Machine

Spec Sheet
Operator’s Manual

14 ga Galvanized/ 16 ga Stainless — (max capacity is 16 gauge stainless)

We offer three models of this Power Rotary machine: the Hand Crank, Air Cylinder and Hydraulic Cylinder. It’s worth noting that all three models include the Hand Crank. This base model is easily the top seller followed by the Air Cylinder Model which speeds up beading (or crimping) operations on spiral fittings. The Hydraulic Cylinder model is recommended for shops using exclusively for Vanstone flanges.

While the flanging rolls require a controlled step down of the upper shaft which only the Hand Crank or the Hydraulic Cylinder machines can offer, a simple solution for shops that like the speed afforded by the air cylinder but want to do some flanging is to take the cylinder off when needed. It takes about two minutes to get the cylinder off and put the hand crank on.

FAQ’s

What are the 1/2″ Offset Rolls?

Sometimes a shop welds or spotwelds the Gores together instead of using a Gorelocker and connecting with the standing seam.  It’s typically in 18 ga and heavier; One end of the gore (segment) is flared out and the other end slips into the flared end and either spotwelded or welded.  Example is the welded Elbow in photo below: the ends are offset and then the elbow is assembled/welded.
