For many daily tasks in a sheet metal shop a Circular Saw performs faster than a Horizontal bandsaw. It’s ideal to cut everything from 2″ and 4″ Turning Vane to Ductmate Flange. It will even cut Galvanized 2″ x 2″ x 1/4″ Angle or Strut, materials that are more suited for a Horizontal Bandsaw.
Conklin stocks the American made Everette 10″ Abrasive Circular Saw as a 3 HP 220 Volt Single Phase Model. Unlike other Abrasive Chop Saws with a thin blade and small 1/3 HP motor, the Everette Saw is a Commercial Grade with a thick Fiber Mesh blade and larger 3 HP motor and it runs at 3650 RPM, much faster than an ordinary chop saw.
Everette makes two types of these dry cut** Circular saws. One is a 90-degree saw that just comes up and down and one other is a miter saw which will cut either side up to a 45-degree angle. Everett saws run a 3650 RPM, much faster than the little chop saws.

**Dry abrasive means that it has grit on the cutting wheel. You can cut multiple pieces at a time. For example, 3 pieces of 2” x 2” x ¼” angle.
