Copper Tube rolled on large spools are called Level Wound Coils. These are continuous lengths of copper tube rolled and wound tightly and horizontally. For some contractors, longer runs of Copper Refrigeration tubing are common. Multifamily HVAC contractors often have 150 ft runs of Copper Piping; continuous tube allows them to avoid splicing and soldering which can, in turn, reduce labor on a job.
The less solder joints, the less likely it is for there to be a bad joint connection in a wall or chaise that’s difficult to locate.
