Used on large diameter pipes and holding tanks as well as on HVAC Ductwork that requires more insulation, the Owens Corning Flex Wrap comes in a 4 ft wide continuous roll, 2.5 lb density.
Because standard fiberglass pipe covering only goes up to 30″ Diameter, the FlexWrap is most frequently seen on jobs with Larger Diameter Piping. But, because it’s more cost effective (less expensive) than preformed Pipe Covering which requires specific sizes per diameter, it’s also used on smaller diameter piping 18″ and up instead of preformed pipe covering.
Stocked and sold in both ASJ White jacket and FSK Alum jacket. When used in conjunction with OC ASJ Max pipe covering as a package on the job, the ASJ finish is used. If it is going on a tank or duct, the FRK (Foil Reinforced Kraft, same as FSK) is used.
