Spiral Helix’s builds their Model 3600 Tubeformer in a modular design which means it’s expandable / upgradeable to increased speed or gauge capacity by changing out the gear box and motor thereby switching the Drive Systems to the Pro Drive (for speed) or the Heavy Gauge Drive (for capacity). Speed and strength are derived from the size and number of “teeth” on the gears. This modular system design means that if a fab shop’s need changes in the future, the shop can change the drive to match the capacity needs, rather than replacing the entire machine. For shops that are “first time Spiral Duct machine users”, the Standard Drive is the choice nearly 100% of the time.
The base machine comes standard in 20 Gauge capacity with forming heads of 4″ – 30″ diameters, even sizes, but can be quoted however the customer prefers. Forming heads for diameters other than the ones included are in stock at the factory and installed easily in the shop. Forming Heads available for 3″ thru 64″ Diameter pipe. Base machine upgradable to 18 Gauge Mild Steel capacity with the Heavy Gauge Drive.
Note: TF3600 comes standard with a Vertical Decoiler. Horizontal Decoiler is available but not common. It holds 3 coils and has a max weight of 6,000 lbs total but the coils are stacked on top of each other with the machine pulling from the top coil. Therefore multi gauge production is not feasible
Electrical Requirements : 440V / 3 Phase
Note: shops with 220/230V will require step up transformer
Amps Required: 50
