Conduit (aka Tie Rods)

Spec Sheet

Conduit Tie Rods are often specified on job plans as an internal reinforcement of the Ductwork. When not specified, Duct Shops are often able to still use them to downsize the Gauge thickness of the Duct Wall.

Available in both 1/2″ and 3/4″ x 10 ft, Conduit pipe is cut to size and then used in conjunction with the internal and external Condu Lock Hardware.

When fabricating Tie Rods, 1/2″ Conduit pipe is used for pieces up to 36″ long. When the length of the Conduit exceeds 36″ long, 3/4″ Conduit pipe is used.

1/2″ Conduit is more common than 3/4″ because most Tie Rods are installed to span the shorter of the two Rectangular duct dimensions.
